All goes well, except I don't get any confirmation and…

    First of all, THANKS SO MUCH for the plugin. Is truly AWESOME.
    And here is my problem, all works great, but a minor detail… when I hit send that waiting spinning little animation spins, and spins forever, and never get any confirmation my message was sent.
    The message is perfectly sent… but would be good to let the sender know all went well, or I will get a billion of repeated messages.
    Is this a bug? Something I have badly configured?
    Advise please!!!

    Try deactivating all other plugins and switching to the default theme. It’s highly possible that one of those is causing conflict problem.

    I tried that and no luck. I only kept the easy captcha, Contact form 7 and the SMPT config plugins with the default theme and no luck. I have done a crappy fix, which is replacing the spinning GIF with a “sent” gif, but would be great if we could find the problem to get the full functionality of this awesome plugin

    I’m having the same problem. The other day, I had a visitor hit “send” 12 times. He got twelve auto emails from me and I got twelve emails telling me he’d clicked “send” that many times. My work around has been much more primitive. I just added text below the “send” button that reads “Press ‘send’ once then check your email.” I still get a lot of repeat clickers.

    BTW I’m using theme Weaver II Pro, but I’ve also tried Twenty Ten with no plugins and get the same problem.

    That sounds wrong… I’m not happy to see more people with problems, haha. It’s just it feels I’m not alone and I can team up!

    Oh, I didn’t give any instructions… just in case it is not clear, replace your “ajax-loader.gif” with mine. You can find it in your WordPress folder… here /wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/images/
    Do a backup just in case. Oh! And it’ll take a few minutes to refresh. No idea why…
