@zweigrafiker What versions are you using?

I am on 1.1.1 of WPTiles and 4.5.2 WordPress.

I am seeing the problem on live server and local machine.

Also with my custom theme and twentyfourteen.

I have disabled all other plugins which didn’t help.

    Hi dcdc1000,
pretty much the same surroundings at our website:
    WP Tiles 1.1.1
    WordPress 4.5.2

Even with all plugins deactivated and default theme, there is one extra tile displayed!

    AAAAAAAARGHH…

Just found this: in my news-grid there are eight posts to be displayed. If there is a sticky post older than the eight newest posts, there is one extra tile. if i make the “old” one NOT sticky, everything looks fine!

    =;o)

Oh wow, you’re a life saver. A content editor set a post to sticky on my site too!

I didn’t even think to check that aspect.

    Thank you very much ZweiGrafiker

There’s even a shortcode for this – just put in:

    ignore_sticky_posts=”true”

Is there a way to fix that? In my situation, I need the fixed post and after adding some posts after the one that is fixed I get the extra tile :/

hmmm… i stopped investigating when i found the solution that worked it out for me – sorry!

I also stopped looking into it as un-stickying the posts was a good solution for me.

It’s still a bug though. I hope the dev fix it soon. As I always need a fixed post, I have to control how many posts I publish after the fixed one and usually these posts are events that I wish were published in advance.
