    I think it is having trouble connecting to the database. The site was sitting on a test server with numbers and I was running 2.7. I did up upgrade to 2.8.2. It was working for a while.

    The site was moved to its final resting place form the test address. Now all I get is a blank screen when I type in the blog address.

    The site has been moved over to the permanent address but this happened some time ago. (Last several months.)

    Somehow the version had reverted to 2.7 and when I upgraded again to 2.8.2, now that it is in its permanent home, I get a blank screen.

    I think that the site went down and was restored.

    I am only the blogger part of the project and the site is not being run on WP. It is just a normal site and the owner wants a blog.

    The blog sits in https://www.laughing-stock.com/blog. Before, it was https://216.246.13.197/blog/. Now both are empty. You don’t even get a 404.

    I am completely stumped and disheartened. I use FTP to upload my files.

    Can anyone help?

    How to solve:

    Use wp-admin/upgrade.php (not install.php) if upgrading.

    Upgrading WordPress has the process.
