All images in Media Library are broken

Hey there

Can you share the link to your site so I can take a look? It is possible that your htaccess file is incorrect. It is also possible that your media uploads path in media settings is not correct.

Have you added a new plugin our changed your permalink structure recently?

I hadn’t changed anything with plugins or anything, the images just haven’t been showing up ever since I checked on the site a couple days ago.

Thanks for sharing the link. So its acting as if you image do not exist on the server as you can see the direct image link here:

What is interesting is that it gives you a frontend WordPress 404 and not a server not found message. I highly recommend going to your .htaccess file via FTP and ensuring that its set to the proper WordPress rules as seen here:

Also, check your media settings within the Admin to ensure its set to store your uploads in wp-content:

I know this issue is over 8 months old, however it doesn’t appear to be resolved/closed. I have been experiencing this same issue as well. It happened recently. All plugins have been turned off and back on, no change. Theme has not changed, still the same Classifieds theme we started with…

The site is hosted with Godaddy, whom I contacted regarding this issue however they could not find anything. Permissions are all correct.
I followed the instructions outlined above and the htaccess file is exactly described as shown in the link above as well.

Permalinks are fine and I can’t edit much in the admin area of the WP system…

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue so that my Media Library images are showing properly again? Looks like 90% of the images are broken in the library.

Also, when I try and add a image to a listing in my admin, I get a “undefined,” message in the image field. I assume this is related to the media library issue…?

I am not super tech savvy… But most images in the media library you can click on and they display in the Attachment Details and you can edit the image… However most don’t do any of this…very strange…

Any help would be most appreciated!
