All images not importing

  • Sorry to sound like a stuck record but Importer is still failing to import media. I have read the relevant posts here and upgraded through Github but no joy.

    Here’s what I am doing:

    I deactivated the WordPress Importer plugin, installed and activated WordPress Importer Git loader.

    I go to Tools -> WordPress -> Run Installer. I import the media XML file. Some images are being imported but the majority are not. In the media library, I can see some of the images but these are not all being displayed on the posts.

    It might be useful to mention that I am exporting data from version 4.5.13 to the current version. Is that an issue?

    Can you please help or recommend another plugin that I can transfer the text and images only from the live database to my development server?
