All images returning 404 errors

All but 2 of my approximately 17 images have vanished from Google images after googlebots returned 404 errors. (They all had correct URLs and all were in the correct files). After doing a test, a responder on the google forum, said the problem was wider than googlebots:
Yes, well it’s not just google that is getting 404 Not Found for those jpg images.
I requested https://savvysavingbytes.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/fileboxgoodwill-b.jpg
(a) via a browser and your server served that image correctly.
(b) via a standard diagnostic tool for studying server responses and your server repsonds with a 404 Not Found.
