All-in-One Calendar: Custom Feilds

I am using the All-in-one Calendar by Timley but have run into a few questions that, while have been asked before, the replies are not enough for me to figure out.

1. I would like to customize the information displayed on the widget to simply the month and day (no Sat, Sun..etc), and the event title and location (don’t need time) and put them in a way to match the recent post widget that is below it.

2. I noticed that custom fields were an option and have searched for how to use them but seem to not be grasping this (new to php/wordpress); What I’m understanding is that I could use the custom fields to put more information, like Show Bill: Download Here (or something like that), instead of putting it in the post below.

3. I have the featured image showing up twice and just want the big one on the top. Where/what file do I edit to rearrange this type of stuff? I seem unable to locate the file to make the changes on the event page as well as the widget.
