All in One SEO Plugin Has Major Issues

I cannot turn off the Description Meta tag feature. The AIOSEO plugin grabs content from the web post and I cannot delete it. The result is way too many characters in the Description Meta tag and very poor content. I have a similar problem with the Title tag. I can remove the Site tagline and title by deleting those from the theme, but I cannot remove the Separator. This is extremely poor program design and should be corrected immediately. I am using the free version and with these kinds of errors, I certainly will not upgrade to the paid version. Now I have to uninstall the AIOSEO plugin; this has been a major waste of my time!
