    Hey folks,

I am getting seriously paranoid about website backups less than 3 months old.

I wanted to work on local version of my website, so I installed Bitnami and tried to use the backup restore function + FPT upload options but the restoration process gets stuck. I tried many steps as mentioned in previous posts but no luck.

I have tried increasing the timeout setting to 500 but it still gets stuck. However, if I update All in one WP to the latest version on my website, (7.24 o 7.25) and use the same version on local bitnami it works like a charm.

So do I have to install older version to be able to restore 3 months old backups?
How do I get the older versions though?

    So in summary

All in one wp V 2.74 can not restore the backup on the local running V 2.75

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you
    DC

It should not be related to the version of the plugin.
The newer versions are better performant than older versions so perhaps you might be running in a timeout.

The latest version of the plugin will always be able to import/restore a file regardless of the version it was made with.

    Hi Yani,

That’s what I thought but nothing seems to be working. My 2-4 months backups are not working but when I Make a new one it does work. It only takes 3 mins while others I let them running for more than 30 mins

It could be the size of the content, cache, or something else. You can extract and compare two backups (one working and one failing) with Traktor: https://traktor.wp-migration.com

Ok so I managed to restore backups. I used Xamp instead with a php version 7.2 instead of the latest version that I was using Bitnami and it worked.

I haven’t tested Xamp with the latest version of PHP but there you go if anyone is pulling their hair out on local install, this might help.

    Thanks, Yani, appreciate your help.
