All In one wp security “inconsistent file permissions” error

    All In One WP Security
    Unable to update plugin.
    Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.

    I have not changed any permission on the site.
    How do I find out what permission it requires?

    The other error also showed up from the logs.
    Fatal Error:
    /home10/sitename/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/vendor/automattic/jetpack-connection/src/class-utils.php on line 1

    Hi, try the following. Deactivate all other plugins except ours, then try to update the plugin.

    did that got the same result.
    Error updating All In One WP Security on Lateral Networking. The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.

    Do you know what the directory permission should be?

    Hi,

    Go to Filesystem Security tab. Then check to make sure the file permissions are correct. If they are okay and you still have an issue, I suggest that you get in contact with your host. Ask them to investigate your files permissions. Let me know what they say.
