Man I thought I was dodging the bullet waiting till 2.0.2 to do the major update and boy was I wrong.

    1. Font colors on icon box blocks are no longer working – they look good in the editor, but text is always black on the front end (already ruled out a caching issue).
    2. Styling for icon boxes is broken causing HUGE icons instead of whatever was set in the design.
    3. Section blocks are a mess because they’ve been changed – the background images on them are completely gone.

Had to roll back from a backup in order to get the sites working again.

Also I noticed that when trying to switch to Containers – padding on mobile seems to ignore the plugin settings. It’s just always zero instead of what is set in the plugin settings screen.

    Hello @cgscomputers,

We’re sad that this update has caused you issues. Our team worked hard and tried its best to make it a smooth transition from prior versions to 2.0 and ran an extensive public beta testing program for several weeks. However, it seems we could not test all these possibilities. We’re so sorry for the trouble.

We checked all 4 issues reported by you on both backward & new block drag drop cases and we were not able to reproduce those issues.

Could you kindly get in touch with us via our helpdesk? This will allow our developers to take a closer look and find a solution for you.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

It’s actually in the Cover block where the text and alignment are wrong for the Info Box blocks. It appears that the styling is forced to inherit the Cover block settings instead of using what is configured in the block (found this looking through CSS in developer mode).

I’ll submit a ticket with all of the issues for your reference.

@cgscomputers There is also a similar generic Astra issue for covers. I.e. if you set a H2 colour on the customizer, any headings in cover blocks will inherit their colour and not display the customizer colour. The ‘fix’ for that is to apply it in the block, but that really ruins the whole point of the setting the heading colours in the customizer, so I think it’s a bug.

This new issue makes it worse because there is now no way to set those colours using the Spectra headings.

    Hello @delanthear,

I’d like to let you know that there is a new release of Spectra 2.0.3 that has fixed most issues that came up with the latest updates. Please update to Spectra version 2.0.3. After updating, please be sure to regenerate the assets. We do this automatically after the plugin is updated, but just to be sure, go to “Spectra > Settings > Asset Generation > Regenerate Assets” and press the button.

Also, empty cache and hard reload while on the editor screen. Here’s how: https://share.bsf.io/2NumNvZ2.

    Regards.

It appears the first 2 items were fixed with the 2.0.3 release. The issue with section (now Advanced Row) blocks seems to be isolated only to those which have a gradient style overlay and I’ve been told they’re working on fixing it.

Still seeing Advanced Columns ignoring reverse on mobile settings which is frustrating (minor though compared to everything else).

I also am discovering that Spectra sets the default editor block spacing to 0 px – why in the world would anyone even think to do that? Shouldn’t that be controlled by whatever theme is in use? Holy crap the editor looks like garbage out of the box because of this.

    Hello @cgscomputers,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Thank you!
