Hello all. I’m hoping someone can help me figure this out – I’m stumped.

    My site is at https://www.crazycouponmommy.com

I have been getting reports today that when you goto the site in FF or Chrome, only the header links work. ie, you cannot click on the title of the post or if you are on an individual post page, you can not click on any links within the post. You also can not leave a comment. This apparently was not an issue yesterday.

    Key points:
    – I did install a few plugins yesterday which I feel may be the culprit. The were WP-Referrer, Affilate links, Mail-to (these names are just off the top of my head because i have since deactivated and uninstalled them)
    – deactivating and uninstalling them did not fix the issue
    – when I go to the site in FF, I have noticed that WHILE THE PAGE IS STILL LOADING, the links are clickable. However, once the page has finished loading, they are no longer clickable.

    Please help!!!

PS same issue in Google Chrome. But IE works perfectly.

  • Looks like an issue with the wp_followme_c2 plugin. Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

wait a sec – that was one I deactivated and removed yesterday. How did you know its an issue with that? Do I need to delete some leftover coding in certain files?

Your theme contains markup with a wp_followme_c2 class name. That block is pretty much overlaying the whole page from the header down. Try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

here is something else – if you scroll down the page, the links begin to work around the 8th post down…

Another thought – are you using any caching plugins?

I’m not sure about caching plugins. I have deactivated all plugins installed just prior to this issue. apparently, deactivaing and uninstalling them doesn’t completely remove them though! (ie followme) ??

ok deactivated all plugins and still does not work ?? seems like its leftover code?

Did you reset the plugin folder?
