All media have been removed after editing footer (?)

    Hi, thanks for reading.

    After i enabled the editor (changing the config.php define('DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT', true); to define('DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT', false); )

    I edited away some footer content (as this was un-editable in the wordpress UI) then i changed it back to define('DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT', true);

    After that my media files can’t be uploaded (this only applies for picture files such as .jpeg, .png and .gif)

    Any solution for this is deeply appreciated!

    Found the solution, the problem was the bulletproof firewall plugin, causing problems in the server after being deactivated and deleted. The whole wordpress installation had to be deleted to fix it.
