    Hey guys,

I recently migrated a WordPress site with this plugin (everything is fixed now). The problem was that all the nordic letters were wiped from the the text in posts and replaced by the symbol “?”. Is there a way to prevent this in the future?

    Hey,

This seems like a database encoding issue.

Our plugin uses WordPress recommended charsets and it’s possible to have issues if your previous hosting uses a different encoding.

This issue is not solved, just given an explanation. I had the same issue and now have to manually update hundreds of posts.

At the very minimum there should be a check to notify users of potential loss, and to fix it character encoding should be respected. ? ? ? are all available in utf-8 so that shouldn’t be an issue.
