“I don’t have any Woo Subscription plugin installed, only the Paid Member Subscriptions plugin. THese are the WooCommerce plugins I have:“
-> As I stated in my previous message, maybe the plugin that allowed you to add that WooCommerce subscription information to your WooCommerce Product, like the Free Trial, and most importantly allowed you to select in Product data -> “Simple Subscription”, has a different name, maybe this plugin that allowed you to do this doesn’t even have WooCommerce or Woo in its name. You can try on a staging/testing site that is identical to your live site to disable the plugins one by one until you see when the Free trial and Simple Subscription information disappear from your WooCommerce Product. When that information disappears, then it means that you’ve disabled the plugin that created them (but again this is recommended to be done on a staging/testing site, and not on your Live site, so that it doesn’t break something). Again with PMS, I’m going to say again, we don’t add those kinds of functionalities to the WooCommerce Product. As you saw, if you briefly disable our plugin (Paid Member Subscriptions), that information will still remain on your WooCommerce Product.
“If I create a new payment manually in Paid Member Subscriptions > Payments, will it attempt to charge the customers who were not billed?”
-> No, unfortunately, this will not really work. Since if a payment is manually added by the Administrator inside of PMS, then that user will not pay anything. The user needs to purchase something successfully by himself for the payment to be taken.
But again, since you are attaching our plans to WooCommerce Products and selling those products on the WooCommerce Checkout page, then as I said in most of my messages, the payment will not be handled by us, an instead it will be handled by either WooCoommerce or in your case most likely by the plugin that allowed you to add the Free Trial and Simple Subscription functionality to that WooCommerce Product. So for any payment issues, you will need to contact them, since they handle the payment and not us.
Maybe another suggestion to find what plugin allowed you to have those functionalities (before disabling them one by one on the staging site), will be to go to your site’s Dashboard -> Plugins -> Installed Plugins -> and look at each plugin description to see if they state something about WooCommerce or Subscriptions. If not you can also maybe ask the WooCommerce support about what plugin that you have active on your site could make those changes to your WooCommerce Product. As I said at the start of this message, this plugin might not even have Woo or WooCommerce in it’s name.
Best regards,
