• I’ve written maybe 7 posts to my blog (common-scold.net), but the Dashboard “all pages” list shows only 5 of them. How can I fix this? –Fred Powledge

  • Have you checked your Page Trash?

I would gladly have checked my “Page Trash” if I could find it. I have looked through the Dashboard list several times and find no such thing. Is there some other way I can get information about the workings of WordPress (other than the Codex)? Is there, for instance, a WordPress user group? Thank you.

If you go to Admin page / Pages you should see the list of pages. Close to the top of the page there will be totals for various page types, for example:

    All (57) | Published (55) | Draft (1) | Private (1) | Trash (1)

If one of the items in the list does not appear it is because there are none of those items. The All number excludes any trashed pages.

If you Google WordPress guide there are several which have been created by various people.

I don’t know of any WordPress user group. These forums are about the closest to such a thing.

Thank you, lorro, for your clearly-written help. Apparently I have no trash items, because the item doesn’t appear anywhere on my Dashboard. Back to the drawing board, or maybe I’ll just start over with a different theme. Thanks again. –Fred Powledge.
