    Hello,

After I finished the entire site as we need to go live tomorrow, I wanted to change the file names as they hadn’t been taken care of yet.

Now all pictures that I have renamed have disappeared and my entire site and plan are down the drain.

Can you please help me ASAP?
If you help me solve this today, I will also donate to the plugin.

    Kind regards,
    Mike

  • I am trying to put Focus Keywords on a new page and 100% I can not. Now nothing can be typed in the box that permits the 5 keywords.

I never realized what a newly revised plugin can do to the other plugins.

Is it possible for you to save my media library 170 images that have been renamed and get the bug out?

I can’t do a reinstall of Rank Math as I have done weeks of SEO work with there plug in that was clean until the 2.2.1 version.

Your plug in was compatible with the Rank Math before. Never mind the fact that I may now somehow have an imbedded bug you may not be able to get Rank Math to work properly with your new 2.2.3 Version when you try.

    Thank you!

Please advice me what to do when you figure things out.

    Thanks again!

    Hi again,

    Hi @curtisswischuk,
if you remove Phoenix Media Rename the images will NOT revert because the plugin is not needed after the renaming process: when you rename an image the WordPress database is updated and you can safely deactivate or remove Phoenix Media Rename.

I also use redirection and never had problems with Phoenix Media Rename, but I’ll check if latest versions of both plugins still cooperate.

    Hi @curtisswischuk,
I just tested Rank Math and everything is running but I confirm that Phoenix Media Rename versions 2.0.0 to 2.2.1 had an issue due to wrong metadata management (I had to change that code to support the new big image management introduced in WordPress 5.3).

Now everything is working, but Phoenix Media Rename never interacted with Focus Keywords from Rank Math, so you have to check other plugin for that issue.

Let me know if you find other issues.

Hi @crossi72 file renaming error is still not fixed yet. Shall I open a new thread?
As Curtis already pointed out, file renaming error only to those old images. It doesn’t happen to newly uploaded images.

    hi @hikaruprince,
I just received a database backup from a user with the same problem, I’m testing it just now.

I hope to find the problem source soon ??

    Hello,

I removed your plug in and I checked my two Rank Math issues and they were still there. I can’t add Focus Keywords into older webpages and I can’t do 404 redirects to my home page. I will contact them and ask what is happening.

I reinstalled your plugin and it will not rename any image that was in my Media Library from before the 2.2.1 version of your plugin. I want my images renamed and I do not know what I can do.

Is something imbedded into these images somehow that they will not rename? It seems that this has also happened to my 2 Rank Math features that will not function.

Rank math has nothing to do with my Media Library picture Problem.

Everything went sideways for me when one of my Media Library pictures whited out.

Images placed in the last 3 days for me can be renamed with the 2.2.3 Version.

Do you have a suggestion what I should do?

    Hi @curtisswischuk,
I’m looking for the source of the issue with old images that cannot be renamed, another user sent me his database and I’m trying to find what causes this problem.

I let you know as soon as I find a solution.

I finally found a clue: if you use the (default) WordPress option “Organize uploads into month and year based folders” try to run this query
    SELECT *
    FROM wp_postmeta
    INNER JOIN wp_posts ON id = post_id
    WHERE post_type = ‘attachment’
    AND meta_key = ‘_wp_attached_file’
    AND meta_value NOT REGEXP ‘^20../../’

Versions 2.2.0 and 2.2.1 had an error that removed the path from database, you can try moving the images found by the query in the main upload folder (wp-upload, if you didn’t change it) via ftp or other file management tool and try to rename it.

Try with one file and let me know if it works.

    Hello again,

Thank you for the last version it worked long enough for me to finish most of my Media Library.

Wordpress was just updated with GoDaddy to 5.51 and I can’t rename again. Instead of getting the spinning dial there is just a flat line.

Thank you SOOO much for all your help!

    Curtis

    Hello,

As you know WordPress just came out with 5.51 and about 6 of the plugins that I use put out updated versions.

One plugin that I had from before has crashed my site.

It is getting worked on from the back end.

To the point, your plugin may work fine I do not know because I did have a conflict plugin issue that has been effecting my WordPress Beaver Builder Site.

    Thank you!

    Good day,

Your plugin is working A1 again with my other plugins.

Thank you SOOO much for all your assistance!

    Hi @curtisswischuk,
I’m sorry for my stupid error that caused issues in versions 2.2.0 to 2.2.3 ??

It has been a pleasure to help you and all other people out there to have your rename plugin working again at 100% ??
