• I have what I thought was a stable wordpress installation until today. All the plugins are missing from the site. They are still in the plugin directory (/pgn/wp-content/plugins/) on the server. However, wordpress does not see them.

Has anyone heard of this happening before? At this point I don’t know if it was attacked or imploded itself. I have not recently installed anything new. I restored last nights database and nothing changed.

Is there a single php file I can restore to have my plugins re-appear in the dashboard installed plugins page?

After making coffee, taking two Excedrin and prayer. I tried to re-install the plugins. !!”failed, directory exists”!!

I renamed the directory and re installed one of my plugins. The settings were all there! Hmmmmm. The database must be ok then.

Still does not explain why all the plugins disappeared from the dashboard. Lesson learned: Pray first, coffee and Excedrin won’t be necessary.

Yes, that is a strange one.. I don’t know why the plugins would have disappeared like that. But if you delete a plugin by accident and re-install it, the settings should be in there.
