• It just works, and it looks great. Completely adapts to the font and colour scheme of my site, making it look like it was coded just for me. Pictures come through perfectly.

My only question is – can this really be crawlable by Google? The HTML for the page just says “[custom-facebook-feed]”. Can Google really read what each post says? I mean I believe it, I just can’t quite see how it does it.

If it is fully crawlable, and therefore adding to my SEO, then that’s just wonderful.

Hi mharris30, thanks for the review!

I just wanted to respond to your question about how the Facebook posts are readable by Google. Although you’re only putting the [custom-facebook-feed] shortcode into your WordPress editor, when the page is sent from your server to your browser that shortcode is converted into your WordPress posts and so once it reaches the browser the ‘[custom-facebook-feed]’ shortcode text is converted into the HTML and text content of your Facebook posts. If you right click on your page and click ‘View Source’ then you’ll see that all of your Facebook content is embedded into your page. This is what the Google bot sees when it scans your page and so it increases your page’s SEO value based on the words and images included in your posts. We have some more information in this FAQ.

If you have any other questions then just let me know, and thanks again for the positive review!

    John
