My recently uploaded over 500 products and all are being marked “Product description is all capital letters. Please change the description to sentence case in order to allow synchronization of your product.”

There are no CAPS anywhere on any product, categories, or tags. This used to work.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @le9193 ,

    This is an interesting case.

Are you using a page builder plugin to add content to your product description?

To understand how the description is being sent to Facebook, please do these:

    – Enable debug log in Marketing > Facebook > Connection page.
    – Trigger the manual sync from Marketing > Facebook > Product Sync page
    – Navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Logs page and check how the description was sent to Facebook. For example:

Let me know what do you see in the description field.

It will be great if you could share your current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

Yes, I am using https://www.wpallimport.com/ to upload products. Have been for over 6 years.

None of the products are syncing so they are not showing up in the logs. Only products that populate are my older products. I uploaded 500+ last week and they all have this issue.

This is what it looks like at the bottom of the product.

Since it is claiming it is in all caps, it will not sync.

Here is a screenshot of the description and short description.

    Checking in again

    Hello @le9193 ,

If I understand your last message correctly, only the new products that you imported recently are having this problem, right?

Even if the product is not synced, the logs should show some information about what it is not synced. As the next step, please create a ticket on WooCommerce.com, share the log after you try to manually sync from Marketing > Facebook > Product Sync.

Also, mention the product name or the product ID along with the URL of this thread so that we can understand where are with the discussion.

    Thank you.

I am searching the entire logs by keyword and my new products are not populating at all. It seems as the new “Facebook description” box in each variation is faulty, along with the “Product description sync” option in the plugin settings.

Opening a ticket with WooCommerce.com would not help me since none of the log information for the new products are populating.

Here is an example of a product that doesn’t sync. Product ID: 276744

I am happy to create you as a user to attempt to detect the issue.

    Hi @le9193,

Does the same thing happen with a product create on the site (not imported via https://www.wpallimport.com/) ?

If you haven’t tested it out yet, please do, so we can rule out a conflict coming from the third party plugin used to import the products.

Additionally, please create a ticket as recommended above, so we can request access to your site dashboard.

    Thanks!

No, manually created products work fine. Seems to be an issue when creating products via WPAllimport. Submitting a ticket now.
