I understand that you are experiencing issues with products disappearing from the shop page.

Just for clarity, is it the entire product disappearing, or only the product images?

As a first step, please could you share a copy of your sites System Status report in order to have a better understanding of your site setup. This can be found by navigating to WooCommerce > Status, select ‘Get system report’ and then ‘Copy for support’.

Additionally, please could you go to WooCoomerce > Status > Logs and share a copy of any fatal error logs that appear there (if any).

There are a number of errors that are coming from the Overlay theme. Please could you temporarily change your theme to the default WooCommerce Storefront theme and see if this makes any difference?

all the products are still disappearing randomly

I understand that there is no exact noticeable timely pattern however, changing the theme to see if the issue persists would help determine if the issue is being caused by a conflict with your current theme.

Next, please temporarily disable any caching plugins and then clear your site and browser cache:

Additionally, you can navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Tools and do the following to see if it makes any difference:

– Clear WooCommerce transients
– Clear expired transients
– Recount terms
– Regenerate Product lookup tables
– Regenerate shop thumbnails

In addition to what has been already recommended by Roxanne, I’d also suggest enabling Debug Mode in WordPress. This will log any errors to the debug.log file in the wp-content folder and can give you additional hints on what’s causing trouble on your site.

If you don’t want to test this on your live site, you can create a staging site which is an exact copy of the live site using a plugin called WP Staging.

Thank you so much for your help. I changed my theme to the default WooCommerce Storefront theme and could not wait and see if it made a difference because it hid my Menu bar with all our pages. This website is very information dense with a lot of text and our visitors need to see all of the research/information so I was unable to leave the storefront theme on for long.

I cleared our site and browser cache.
I also:
– Cleared WooCommerce transients
– Cleared expired transients
– Recounted terms
– Regenerated Product lookup tables
– There was not an option to Regenerate shop thumbnails.

I also installed the WP Staging plugin. I guess I should test removing plugins there? I’m just concerned that it will take a lot of time to perform this testing. Meanwhile, I have to manually update the shop page hourly or so (it’s a surprise! lol) to keep the page up for customers.
I really appreciate all of your time and help with this.

Thank you so much for your help. I went into WooCommerce>Settings>Payments>Advanced Settings and clicked “Debug Mode” to log error messages. Will this suffice? I also installed the Wp Staging plugin and will work on deactivating and testing all the plugins over the next few days. I also reached out to the Overlay Theme support. Is there anything else you would recommend? LOL I’m just trying to get this sorted out as quickly as possible. We definitely do not want the Shop Page down. Thank you for your help.

Creating a staging site for troubleshooting is your best option at this moment. You’ll then be able to safely find out (without affecting your visitors) if another plugin or your theme is causing this issue.

Set your staging site’s theme to Storefront, disable all plugins except for WooCommerce, and check if the issue persists.

I’ve created the Staging Site for testing and what I noticed was that the staging site shop products did not disappear (without me having to do anything). I also noticed that in the Staging site, Woo Commerce is in “Safe Mode” so I’m now thinking it has something to do with Woocommerce. I’ve reached out to them, and they’ve instructed to me to do the same as you mentioned above- putting it in Storefront or Twenty Twenty Two theme and disable all plugins except WooCommerce. I’ve done that now, but because the products disappear at random times, it will take me a while to figure it out.

Ok, so I activated the Twenty Twenty theme, deactivated all plugins with the exception of WooCommerce and I still have the same problem- disappearing products in the shop. This has to be a WooCommerce issue. What else can I do? I have since deleted the Shop Page, recreated it, etc… also, same issue. Please, please, please help. We are going on a month of these issues. I have to constantly update my Shop Page to keep the products on it.

This topic is marked as resolved, so I’d recommend creating a new one if you’re still experiencing any issues. You can add a link to this one as a reference.

Since you mentioned that it’s working as expected in a staging environment, when creating a new ticket, paste your most recent system report and error log, for a double-check.

If you’re still seeing some scheduled actions with the pending status, you can run them again manually. I recommend using the WP-Crontrol plugin to check them and manually run the most recent ones.
