• I have had to disable the gallery as I have received orders with with free shipping. Regardless of chosen product everything has FREE shipping. Either I have done something in error or there is is a glitch somewhere? I have the latest version.

    I’m trying this whilst not logged in.

    When I select an image, chose a product (any size Print), add to cart, view cart and the Shipping cost is the last selected price, continue to checkout and I can edit all the fields \contact info/shipping address and shipping method. If I select the free shipping method, it alters the Order Summery box to free shipping regardless that it should be the shipping cost for a print. The free shipping method then becomes the default for any subsequent orders.

    How do I change this to make the default shipping method  fixed or unable to edit?

    Just disable the free shipping option. (Delivery & Shipping)?

    It was working fine yesterday, I sell digital images for social media and they are emailed out so they need the free shipping. I have 3 product categories, prints , canvas and digital. They should all have their own shipping price but I must have clicked something to change this to allow customers to choose. Obviously they are choosing free, which sets the free option to default for the next order.

    Can you send screenshots of your shipping settings?

    You need the Advanced Shipping add-on in order to do custom shipping rates based on products. Do you have that?

    No I don’t think I have that but not needed it before. So do I need this to price different sizes prints accordingly or say print and canvas? I’ll add screenshots later as have to go out.

    Honestly, I am not clear on the issue here. I have not seen your site or the issues first hand to understand what you are expecting vs what is happening.

    Anything you can provide to recreate the issue will be helpful here.

    Sunshine has never had a way to do different flat rate shipping methods based on products – in fact, Sunshine 3 is the first time you can do multiple different flat rate shipping options. It has always had an Extra Shipping Fee for each individual product with the intention to be used for things like Canvases which are larger and will have a bit higher cost associated with them.

    If you don’t want to offer free shipping, the other commenter is right: disable the free shipping option?

    i have the sunshine pro, and don’t have set a free option.
    under
    Flat Rate
    > Products
    > “Only make this shipping option available when cart contains only the selected products.”
    I placed all the print options in there.
    so all product not added are free.

    Here is an order from last night, personal details have been removed. You can see the time ordered and the products with prices paid. Digital image is free shipping because I email to the customer. This was working at 20.26 London time.

    This is what the customer sees now, as you can see the shipping method can be edited so obviously they choose the free option. By them doing this it makes the free shipping the default for he next order that is made and so on and so on etc.

    Yes, so if you do not want to offer free shipping then you need to disable it.

    Otherwise…

    If you use the Digital Downloads add-on to truly sell digital download files and there are only digital download products in cart then it will automatically remove any shipping information from the checkout experience entirely. Digital files don’t need shipping and why this is done automatically.

    If you use the Advanced Shipping add-on, you can set specifically which shipping methods are available based on the products in cart or other criteria of the cart.
