All settings vanished for no reason

    Like some other topics here I am also having instances where all the mobile menu options just reset to defaults for no reason.

    I haven’t even touched the site for a month and now the client has got in contact saying the mobile menu is ‘missing’. When I go to the settings, every section has reset to default. This has happened before so I’ve even took screenshots of plugin settings just in case now.

    Hi @shaunbowen,

    This could be related with an issue that we sorted today that when there were changes in the Theme Customizer this could happen to the Mobile Menu settings.

    Can you try this modified version in the link below?

    It’s hard to ‘test’ that version as I don’t know precisely what causes the settings to reset. It’s happened twice now but this latest time didn’t coincide with any changes to the site as far as I know. I did a test – changing a setting in the customizer – but that didn’t cause the settings to reset.

    On a side note, when I try to export my mobile menu settings, I get the following errors:

    Yes, things like this are tricky to figure out but the settings wouldn’t change by themself, something should have caused it and the problem is figuring out what did it.

    I still recommend that you use the version I sent, if the problem is related to the customizer that version should fix it.

    Are you running any cache plugin?

    That line shouldn’t be echoing anything. An empty line in the top of the file can cause that.

    Reinstall the latest WordPress version in the Dashboard-> Updates and try the plugin version I sent, after that try to export the options.

    If you have any staging site that could help us to replicate the issue.

    Hi Rui, thanks for the feedback. I manage hundreds of websites so haven’t had any time to check the above. I’ll let you know if I can get a staging site up for testing at some point.
