• ALL settings were removed after updating from 3.4.0 to 3.4.1.

Even my permalink structure was resetted…

I had to restore a backup with prior 3.4 version.

I *think* this was caused by using update_option instead of add_option in the default settings function, although that function shouldn’t have run, so that doesn’t totally explain the problem. Had you uninstalled the plug-in at some point? If so, that could have triggered a reinstallation routine, which would explain it.

Same issue! I’m now hosed! How do I restore to the previous version, and/or back out the CSS dance?

@davewiederrich Can you verify that this is the same issue, from an update to 3.4.1? If it was an update to 3.4.2, then it is not the same issue. Restoring would usually be dependent on a backup, either from your hosting or personally maanged.

I saw a message about needing to migrate to a new CSS handling or that future updates would tamper with my custom settings. Did that, and now my formatting all off. Thinking that updating to the new version, I am now on 3.4.2. Problem didn’t go away. Chose a different style sheet. Looking better, but not ideal. Might need to look for another solution.

You have to restore from a backup because all the data in the database is lost. I won‘t update to 3.4.2…

@davewiederrich From your description, this sounds like a different issue; if you’re having stylesheet issues, but you haven’t lost other settings, then it’s something different. Please create a new support thread and provide a link to the site there.

The change is that you will need to manage custom CSS outside of My Calendar’s editor. Migrating your CSS doesn’t remove files in any way.

There’s a good chance that your files are located at /wp-content/plugins/styles, due to a file path error on my part.
