• Really strange issue happening here. We are on the Avada theme.

    I made a screencast: https://www.loom.com/share/fd83ab8a79e3407fac80c548646e3649

Basically, when I enter “All Singulars from {{category}}” they turn into “{{category}} – Category” when I save the sidebar.

I’m trying to add all categories and all individual posts from those categories, but all my singulars turn into categories so my singular pages do not show the correct sidebar.

    Any ideas?

  • I have the exact same issue and we’re using Brainstorm Force’s own Astra Theme.

The issue persists after updating to the 1.1.6 version that was released today.

    Hi @codeink & @karlemilnikka,

I don’t think it’s an issue. It turned into “CategoryName – Category” because you chose to show the Custom Sidebar on all of the posts under the Category, as seen in the video.
    ?
Anyway, I can’t clearly understand with so my singular pages do not show the correct sidebar. When we do not configure a Custom Sidebar to show up on a page/post, then that page/post should have the default Sidebar we configure from the Customizer or Appearance > Widget.

Do you have any site URL we can check?

?And regarding the latest update, it was released for the security improvement, as you can check on the Changelog.?

    ???Kind regards,
    ?Herman :)??

What’s described in the video is probably just a symptom of an underlying problem. If I click on save after the initial setting (i.e. when All singulars has turned into Category), the sidebar disappears. To make the sidebar reappear, I have to delete the current setting and add All singulars again. I have to remember to do this every time I want to change something.

Here’s what I’m trying to accomplish. Perhaps you can advise me on how it’s done?

I have a series of categories: Apples, Oranges, Bananas.

I have three specific sidebars: Apples Sidebar, Oranges Sidebar, Bananas Sidebar

I want the Apples category and all posts within that category to show the Apples Sidebar, etc.

Here’s what I did to accomplish this:

    My thought process:
    – Add the category archive
    – Add all singulars from that category

So that my archive and all individual posts from that archive have a specific sidebar.

When I add those two separate items and save, they return the category archive twice (as seen in the screencast).

And when I view the website, only the category archive shows the sidebar. Individual posts in that category do not display the proper sidebar. It shows the default sidebar.

    Is there something I’m missing?

    Hi @codeink,

Thank you for the video, ?I don’t think you miss something there.

And @karlemilnikka, I notice that you also opened a ticket through our Support Portal for reporting this and had been replied by one of our support agents.

I am going to report this to our team and if we find something that ?needs to be improvised/fixed we will surely do it in future updates.?

Thanks to both of you for reporting this and we are really sorry for the inconvenience you may have because of this.

    ???Kind regards,
    ?Herman ??

    Hi Herman.

Thanks. I’ve setup a demosite and sent instructions for replicating the issue. Your support team has received admin credentials to the demosite. It’s a completely fresh install with only this particular plugin running to rule out any compatibility issues.

    Best regards

    Thank you!

Is there an ETA for this? We’re launching our website soon and this is on hold until we figure this out. If the update will take longer than a week, we may have to find another solution. But we do love using Brainstorm Force products ?? Can I be added to a list to be informed when the update occurs?

    Hi @codeink,

Unfortunately, I can’t provide you an ETA for this, but if we are able to replicate this on our end, then we will fix this ASAP.

And @karlemilnikka, thank you so much for you providing us the staging site. We really appreciate your effort!
