All text and map info disappeared!

Sounds like the problem is that you don’t have the correct page set for “Events page” under Events > Settings > Pages > Event List/Archives. You’ll need to replaces the CONTENTS placeholder to be able to see the content.

Yup, I do have the correct page set. As
As I said, everything was working fine a few days ago, and we havn’t changed anything, to my knowledge, that could have caused the error.
The Events page in wordpress says:

“This page corresponds to the Events Manager Events page. Its content will be overridden by Events Manager, although if you include the word CONTENTS (exactly in capitals) and surround it with other text, only CONTENTS will be overwritten. If you want to change the way your events look, go to the settings page. ”

at the top…

I have replaced CONTENTS placeholder, and as you will see, all this does is writes ‘CONTENTS’ on the page: https://www.boygeorgeuk.com/?page_id=430

Aha, “just updated WordPress”… Have you tried resetting the permalinks?

Dashboard -> Settings -> General. Do not change anything, just click “Save Changes”. I you have a caching plugin (WP Cache or WP Rocket) running, clear all those caches as well.
That’s what worked for me…

Also, (completely off-topic, but I noticed this when I looked into your page source) you have an incomplete script for Google Analytics. So now Google will not be able to keep track of your traffic. ?? If you need one that will load in the footer (for faster page load), let me know.

Did what you suggested but that didn’t work either. ??
I hope I don’t have to stop using Events Manager, because I can’t find any other plugin like it.

It’s weird because the plugin hasn’t broken completely – it still works in the widgets, and anything that I type into the main dialogue box of the pages appears, but anything in the Events Manager boxes just won’t show ??

Anymore suggestions?

The CONTENTS placeholder is appearing because Events Manager isn’t filtering the page as the events lists. It would be worth double-checking the “Events page” under Events > Settings > Pages > Event List/Archives. If you have two pages with the same or similar title it’s easy to have the wrong one set as the events page.

It’s possible this is a conflict caused by your theme or another plugin. To check if it is, can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme?

If that doesn’t help, are you able to switch to “Post name” permalinks under Settings > Permalinks?

Thanks all. I’ve worked it out.
It was in fact NextGen Gallery Plugin!!! It needed updating and once I updated it everything returned to normal.
Very strange because I’ve had them running together on the site for years with no problem.
But all is good now ??
