• I’m at a loss and hoping someone can help.

My website was running fine two days ago, but now the theme isn’t working. I’ve tried changing to other installed themes and I’ve tried installing new themes–nothing works. The content is there, but none of the formatting. Even looking at the Appearance>Themes page on the dashboard only shows the title of each of the themes and blank boxes (where the thumbnail preview of the theme normally is).

I have NOT upgraded since I’ve started using this theme nor changed anything in the past few days. DotEasy is my host if it’s at all relevant.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Thank you esmi.

I’m unable to FTP in at the moment (have a support ticket in). It’s very helpful to have a list of things to try when I get access.

    I appreciate the advise–thanks!
