• I’m not exactly sure how all my widgets ended up under the “Inactive Widgets” section. Maybe it happened after I switched themes or after disabled/re-enabled all plugins for debugging.

Is there a way to restore all the widgets to sidebars (I have theme sidebars as well as custom sidebars)?

    Howdy!

Yes, that is the most likely candidate. Part of that is themes don’t always use the same widget area locations. Some will have “Primary”, “Blog”, “Front Page”, and plenty more while others will only have “primary”. The nice thing is that those settings are kept when the widget is set to inactive, it just throws you off when you no longer see it there.

@jcastaneda So is there a way to restore the inactive widgets in one go rather than manually adding them back to where they belonged?
