Allow indexing of null post type

    My WordPress system is integrated with another system (TNG) that creates dynamic content within a WordPress context. I use the Avada theme and the free version of the AIOSEO plugin.

    Recently I noticed that All in One SEO 4.1.8 generates for all my TNG pages the line:
    <meta name="robots" content="noindex" />

    I have set AIOSEO “Show in Search Results” to Yes for all Content types to try and avoid this, but I suspect the problem is that my TNG dynamic pages have a null post type and AIOSEO defaults to noindex for pages with a null post type.

    How can I change this default behaviour?

    @peterc66 I can’t tell what’s causing this off the top of my head, but please go to Search Appearance > Advanced > Global Robots Meta, unchecking “Use Default Settings” and then also unchecking the boxes for “No Index Paginated” and “No Index RSS Feed”.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it but it seemed to have no effect.

    However I have solved my issue simply by disabling AIOSEO for my TNG pages. Some years ago I had to disable another plugin in a similar way (see my description of the issue)

    I will mark this issue as resolved, as my need has been met, but you may like to consider it for AIOSEO in future.
