Allow metadata to be retained on optimised images

    Hi! For my site we generate a lot of images to provide context to our posts. It really helps the page speed to have these images optimised but at the same time we want to maintain the metadata on the images. In particular the creative commons license. For all other optimisations we use SG optimiser and would love to continue to use this for the images as well.

    Would it be possbile to make it optional to remove the metadata from images in the optimisation process?

    We don’t remove anything from the images when they are optimized.

    What we do is to optimize the image and replace the original source with the optimized one.

    Everything like metadata, sizes, etc remains the same.

    Maybe you refer to something different? If so, please provide more details about the issues you have.
