Allow non-admins to create meeting rooms

    Hi I am trying to give another role (vendor admin) on my site access to create and use BBB. It’s a nonadmin role and I am using “User role editor” plugin but I cannot seem to find the exact capability that will enable this. I’ve enabled “manage_options” but I am still getting a “sorry you are not allowed to access this page” when the user goes to /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=bbb-room.

    I’ve also enabled all these bbb capabilities:
    create_recordable_bbb_room
    delete_bbb_rooms
    delete_others_bbb_rooms
    delete_private_bbb_rooms
    delete_published_bbb_rooms
    edit_bbb_rooms
    edit_others_bbb_rooms
    edit_private_bbb_rooms
    edit_published_bbb_rooms
    join_as_moderator_bbb_room
    join_as_viewer_bbb_room
    join_with_access_code_bbb_room
    manage_bbb_room_recordings
    publish_bbb_rooms
    read_bbb_room
    read_private_bbb_rooms
    view_extended_bbb_room_recording_formats

    What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated!

  • I have the same issue.
    I patched the plugin on file admin/class-bigbluebutton-admin.php on line 112 replace activate_plugins with edit_bbb_rooms.

    As it is now require an admin user to create a room etc and it isn’t right.
