I see in the code that the capability required to access the site kit’s stats is manage_options but I would like to be able to give my editor-level users access to the stats without giving them manage_options access.

Is there a way to over-ride the default capability, perhaps via a filter?

Also, it would be good for this be added to the plugin’s settings screen?

    Thanks

  • Hello @petervandoorn ,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Currently Site Kit only supports dashboard access for admin users only(which is used to setup Site Kit) & other admin users need to authenticate to get the dashboard access. So for now there is no hook available in codebase through which you can customize the dashboard access for different WordPress users as its attached with the admin user along with Google Search Console & verification process.

For further updates you can subscribe to the GitHub issue which is similar to this feature request. You can share your feedback/suggestion as well that would be valuable for us.

    Best Regards,
