This is a really necessary requirement as lots of sites we manage have editors that need to be able to clear cache as many parts of sites are embedded into other parts and just purging the single page’s cache when it’s updated doesn’t update the others the content is on.

This question has been asked for by many others, but we found no good solution. We ended up having to give Editors the ‘manage_options’ capability so they could see the Performance menu, BUT this also gives them tons of other unnecessary options and menu items as well which we’ve had to meticulously hide and lock out.

Please add this capability/option to your plugin. It’s essential.

    Thanks,

    Magestyx

    Hello @magestyx

    Thank you for your suggestion.
Due to the obvious security reasons, there is no option in W3 Total Cache to make the purge Cache available for users with Editor roles in your WordPress unfortunately.

However, W3 Total Cache is built with a trigger to purge the cache when there is an update of a page in Performance>Page Cache>Purge Policy. This means that if you users make and save a change to a page on your website the cache will be flushed.

You can also check this?link?for more details on how to use some filters to achieve this and only add the W3TC menu to Editor roles.

I’ll bring this to the team and see if we can do something about this in the future, however as mentioned before, this is normal behavior due to security reasons.

I’ll get back to you after I have more information from the team.

    Thanks!
