Allow users to change answers

    I would like users to be able to immediately see if they answered a question right or wrong and I want them to be able to change their answer. I don’t care about the overall grade or score. In the quiz settings I have selected “Immediately mark answer as correct or incorrect” and I have unselected “Stop users from changing their answers”, but it still will not allow users to change their answers.

    This is the perfect, light-weight, quiz plugin we need – if we can get this one aspect of it working correctly. Please help!

    I’m sorry to tell you this, but what you are asking for is not possible in HD Quiz and likely never will be (but you never know!).

    You can not enable “Immediately mark answer as correct or incorrect” while ALSO allowing users to change their answers. They are essentially opposing concepts which is why if you enable “Immediately mark answer as correct or incorrect”, “Stop users from changing their answers” automatically enables as well – and it’s hardcoded in this way for good reasons.

    Especially since you “don’t care about the overall grade or score”, I recommend enabling the “Show the correct answers on completion”. This way once the user selects an answer and the answer gets marked (IE: locked in), the “correct” answer will still highlight in the case they answered incorrectly. My understanding of your set up is that this will completely bypass the need to change the answer since your users will get all of the information they need strait away.
