Allow users to change e-mail Check Box not working

When I try to edit Ultimate Member – Settings | Account
myclosedsite/wp-admin/admin.php?page=um_options&section=account

I check or uncheck “Allow users to change e-mail”
but it does toggle the email edit field on the page where I have the Account information displaying with the following short code.

[ultimatemember_account]

I can uncheck and check other boxes on that page and the options work as intended, with the exception of the “Allow users to change e-mail” box. It will not fall off when unchecked.

Plugin is up to date. Using version 2.3.1
