Allow users to register and publish a profile

  • Hi,

    I know my way around WordPress, but I am not an expert. I am looking for good way to do the following:

    – Allow users to register on my website, but I don’t want them to have access to the WordPress Dashboard.

    – Allow them to create and publish a profile which will then be visible on the website. However, this would need to be moderated by me. So only those I accept can make their profile visible.

    – A user profile would consist of: A text block, featured picture (band picture etc), contact info, link to own website, other links like social media, an embedded video (YouTube) and maybe embedded audio (like SoundCloud etc)

    – It would be nice if the profile layout could be customized in the way I want it to look.

    Is there a easy way to do this? Maybe some plugin? I would prefer some free plugin, but a paid plugin would also be an option.
