Allow users to upload pics . . . but. . .

Hey,

I created a new post type called “image” and I have a text area there that users can upload pics via the standard WP way (Add image button atop the text editor). The problem is that I can’t allow them to see / edit all the pics in the uploads library. How can I add an image upload option to this post type that dosen’t expose all of the site’s media files?
