Allow visitors to reorder posts

I was wondering how possible it would be to go upon allowing the users to sort posts via a link in a

• element.

The Tuts+ network does this in their categories and search pages by 3 links that add a string such as “?commented=true” to the end of the URL. I’ve tried this, but it wasn’t successful.
