allowing user to register name in non- latin character

hello,
i am wondering if i can allow user to enter their user name while registering in my site in Arabic character,
and how would i do that i have used plugin WordPress Special Characters in Usernames
hence its required modification of core word press table. its not working is there any alternative plugin or any other solution.
