Allowing Users to ignore certain comments

  • Is there a Plugin that would allow a user to Ignore comments by certain posters?

    The IRC has a facility that allows “User A” to add “User X” to and “ignore” list and any comment by “User X” will then NOT show up on the screen of “User A”

  • No, WP doesn’t have that kind of feature, nor did I hear about a plugin like that. (Since this is not a chat program, for me it doesn’t even make sense, soryy…)

    We have a blog that is open to the public, provided they are registered and as everyone does not always play nicely, we are looking at ways to allow posters to be able to hide the comments of certain posters from their view if they wish to ignore that poster.

    Would make for a much happier “neighbourhood”

    I’d like to second the need for this feature in a community I run. Unsurprisingly the internet brings some personalities out of the woodwork that don’t get along well.

    Any ideas on how to implement this would be very much appreciated.
