Please let me know are you referring to the additional “article-specific” code as it is provided for other Post Types?

If it so, can you please describe usage a bit better? If I understand well, you would like to add some additional code only on the homepage in latest posts mode?

It could be a feature request implemented to next plugin version if the use case is better explained.

Exactly. I would like to add hreflang and some other code only on the homepage of my blog. If I choose my homepage not to be the static page, but to show the latest posts (like here: https://i.imgur.com/RaHKeXr.png ), then my homepage is not visible in the “pages” menu in my wordpress admin centre and I cannot add any specific code to it. My only choice is to add the code site-wide or not at all.

Now it would be even better to be able to add specific code also in the specific category/tag or author. So if someone goes to example.com/author/John/ or example.com/categories/internet/, he is served a different code. I’m not sure if that is possible from a technical point of view though.

Please let me know if you are OKay to test Homepage in Blog Posts mode addition? Development version of plugin with this new feature is available on GitHub, branch master https://github.com/urosevic/head-footer-code

Head & Footer Code for Homepage will be automatically added to plugin settings page below the Site-wide section.

Please make DB backup before you install this development version and best if you use test/staging website for testing. Do not uninstall previous version but simply copy new files and overwrite old plugin files.

Taxonomy (category and tags) and author specific codes are possible, but I’ll not implement them at the moment because I assume not much of users will use that feature.

A new version 1.2 has been released. Homepage in Blog Posts mode support, some bug fixes and improvements are part of this release.

Feel free to upgrade the plugin.
