Alphabet Filtering on main BD page

I’m not sure what version of Enhanced Categories you currently have. Our 4.0.9 version, which is installed on the demo ( https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/demo ) shows the alphabet filter on the main page.

According to the plugins page of my admin area, it says the version of the Enhanced Categories module I have is 4.0.9 as well.

Do you have the “ABC Filter” turned on?

Are you also running BD 4.1.11.1?

What specific page are you not seeing the ABC filter on? (Link, please)

What shortcode does that page have on it?

Alpha option is turned on and it does show up on the category page (https://bluemountainschamber.ca/_new/business-directory/cat/accommodation), but not on the main page (https://bluemountainschamber.ca/_new/business-directory)

Yes, you should.

Also, on your main page, you aren’t showing listings at all–so they alphabet filter only applies when you have listings on the page to actively filter. That’s why you’re not seeing them on your main page, but I am.

Why do I need to show any listings on the main categories page in order for the alpha filter to be displayed?

The alpha filter only applies to the listings that are visible on that page. It’s not like a category.

If you don’t have listings, there’s no alpha filter displayed for that reason.

Does that make more sense?

I’ve worked with different business directory component (non-WP) before and it generated the alpha filter above the main categories without any listings shown. So, I guess it’s just a difference in how the alpha filters work with different products.
