    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m really sorry, but unfortunately, I’m not aware of an easy solution for this. This might be possible by using some custom programming and the API functions of the DataTables JS library (like the fnFilter that you mention), but I don’t have an example for that. You might want to check their site at https://www.datatables.net/

Another approach could be to maintain one table for each of the letters and then embed the corresponding Shortcodes on separate pages or maybe on one page, wrapped with a tabs plugin.

    Regards,
    Tobias

I’m not a programmer at all so i am afraid this is going nowhere, thanks for your help so far.

If someone else can push me in the right direction on how to solve this easily you are very welcome.

    Hi,

yeah, the first suggestion with the DataTables API will require programming ??

The second idea, with separate tables for each letter and separate pages would not require programming, but more manual work for you.

Sorry that I can not offer a quick solution here.

How would the second idea work? I know some basic html, i just need 1 example for the letter “A”.

If i get you right? You want me to make 26 different tables, each for a specific letter of the alphabet, and then linking to these?

I’m probably gonna give this one up lol :p thanks for the great support. I appreciate it.

    Hi,

yes, that’s what I meant. You create 26 different tables, and then 26 pages (probably as child pages of an existing “main” page) in WordPress, and each one gets a different Shortcode as its content. Then, you could create links to those pages.
