  • The plugin cannot control this tickbox. I will be doing another update this weekend to provide an option of which version of the SDK to use.

Looking forward to the update Alex. Even I was facing this problem, and was not understanding that what went wrong till i stumbled upon this post.

Please make the update soon for all of us, if possible. We rely heavily on this plugin of yours to keep our website running, and that “Also Post on Facebook” being checked by default was something really very great.

OK, v2.3.1 of the plugin is available for download with this option

    thx, working fine ??

Note that the older version of the API will stop working on June 23rd 2015.

@jbx it will not stop working, as they state:

If you do not manually upgrade till June 23rd 2015 all your Comments plugin implementations will automatically upgrade to the new version.

    Hi Alex,

What I meant is that reverting back to the old version is a temporary measure and this issue will return again the moment the old API version is phased out.

I don’t know why they didn’t include this as an option like the rest instead of deciding to change it for everyone.

Agreed, but I put the option in for people who may need it. It’ll get removed on 23rd June.

What does that checkbox do? When I click it, I don’t see my comments anywhere on facebook. Where are they supposed to show up?

    Within your timeline

I’m confused… this is still not an option on the plugin. I’m running version 2.3.1. installed directly from within WordPress.

Is there a way to add some code to check this box for default?

I see sites that have it checked, unless they are maybe using some other plugin. I noticed that at least one of these sites also had the comment box opened by default (like if you click on our standard box, it opens and is ready for text — their’s is already open and “also post to FB” is checked.

At the moment there doesn’t seem to be a default way to have this tickbox ticked
