My client sells Gins from a variety of sellers. Some of the Gin producers have business names such as “Warner’s or Edward’s” using an apostrophe in the name. As these are family names mainly that utilise the apostrophe I believe it to be acceptable English (not an English professional so feel free to correct me).

If the alt tag of a product image contains an apostrophe it is flagged in the SEO analysis section as an image alt attribute does not reflect or not linked. Red or Amber warning.

If I remove the apostrophe in the media from the alt tag and then open the product back up this flagged issue is removed. This then goes green.

I am guessing your check does not understand punctuation specifically apostrophe’s.

Not sure if this actually a bug but thought it’s worth bringing to your attention.

    Giles
