    Hey Bas;
    I see the alt-tag in the HTML all right;

    Why would you think it is missing/ empty?

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for your reply.
    Yaost warns me that only X of Y images have a alt tag en when I check the html output like you did, I see that most / almost all images have an empty alt tag. The first image does have a alt tag however…
    Kind regards,
    Bas

    Weird, because -on the homepage at least- I fail to find any image that has an empty alt-tag? As per below

    Can you make me a screenshot of what you see in the HTML source + exact URL where you’re seeing that?

    With the featured images it seems te work, but for most images in albums (I have a album on every post) it doens’t.

    When you open the first post (https://www.basenmandy.nl/zweden-2019/) en check the html output, you’ll see a alt tag for the featured image and a alt tag for the first image in the album, but an empty alt tag for the other images in the album, though al images do have a alt tag in media in wordpress.

    The same for the second post (https://www.basenmandy.nl/florida-2018/) etc.
    (sorry I dont know how to upload a screenshot in the forum, hope, above link en tekst will work for you). And, thanks for looking into this!

    Regards,
    Bas

    indeed, but I see the exact same problem when AO is not active (when ?ao_noptimize=1 is added to the URL)?

    Hi Frank,
    So its not a AO prblem?
    Thats weird, because it worked before as far a I know.
    Any other ideas?

    Thanks anyway!

    No idea I’m afraid Bas, but as AO does not make any changes to the original HTML (or CSS/ JS) it _has_ to be something else indeed. Maybe check the posts in the backend and look at image properties there (instead of in the media library), maybe alt tags are missing there?

    Thanks I will.
