The plugin says we don′t have alt tags in the images in all the pages, but they all have. I experienced to put the same keyphrase of the page in the beginning of all the alt tags from that page, and it was the only way it recognized the alt tags!!! But is this correct? Shouldn’t the alt tags be different and adequate to the photo?

Another question is that, on the portuguese version of the website, the seo analysis says that there are no transition words in all of the pages, so it rates the readability in orange. Nevertheless, the texts have lots of transition words!!There must be some conflict with the translations,…or something…

    Thank you!

  • Hi @oportodouro2013,

We see that WPML is installed. Can you confirm that you’ve configured WPML for Yoast SEO? Also, can you go to your user profile in WordPress and make sure that “Set admin language as editing language.” is checked? You should see the warnings from Yoast SEO in Portuguese on the page.

For the problem with image alt text, we checked the page and only found one image that didn’t appear to have alt text. Does adding the alt text to this image solve the problem?

If not, can you give us more information about how you’re adding the images to the page? We noticed that you might be using WPBakery. What module or what other plugins are you using?

Also, please check for conflicts by temporarily deactivating all plugins except for Yoast SEO and switching to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-One. Is Yoast SEO able to recognize the image alt text?
