    Hi Marge,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    I see what you mean, but I have no clue why the alt text is not showing. It’s indeed in the page and I can’t spot anything that could be wrong there. I can only assume that this is some sort of browser issue…

    Is there any way to force the alt text to show? I need that for potential screen readers.

    Oh, I find that adding the title=”” behind the alt=”” makes it work.

    Hi,

    no worries, screenreaders should actually pick up the “alt” text just fine, even when it’s not showing in a regular browser. After all, it is part of the page’s HTML code, the browser is apparently just not showing. Screenreaders don’t rely on that anyway.

    Adding the “title” attribute as well should work, but might result in some screenreader software to read both the “alt” and “title” texts to a user, which might also be confusing. I’m not an expert with accessibility software though, so I’m not completely sure.
