Altert Message CSS Problem

    Hi,

    I’m struggling to get the CSS to work for the error messages and alert text, I’ve put the following in my stylesheet which contains the other styles for the form (which work correctly) however, I can’t get mc4wp-alert to work. What am I not doing correctly? I just want to get any alert text to be centred and be white in colour

    .mc4wp-alert { text-align: center; color: #fff !important; }
