Alternative adblocking detection method

Hello, both versions (free and pro) use many different approaches to detect ad blocking. Ad height check is only one of them:

The pro version uses also AdSense script check to detect ad blocking.

uBlock aborts javascript code used for ad blocking detection. Consequently it is not possible to detect ad blocking and do something, however, you can still protect content from users using this kind of ad blocking:

In case you have issues or see false positive/negative detection feel free to report it.

Hi, maybe I didn’t explained myself correctly.

What happens is that AdInserter detects uBlock just fine.

What it doesn’t detect is adblockers that use host file lists, like this one: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/StevenBlack/hosts/master/hosts

AdAway is an adblocker that uses this kind of lists.

When AdAway blocks an ad the ad isn’t hidden, instead it shows as a blank space. That’s why I think that AdInserter doesn’t detect it.

Simple AdBlock of OpenWRT also uses host file lists and is undetected by AdInserter.

Ad Inserter should already detect such ad blocking.
If I put those domains into hosts file the plugin detects ad blocking.

Please check.
